I agree.. I suppose this is what happens when a team falls from the Fiesta Bowl to a mid-level FCS team in less than two years. I think people had good intentions to start the year, but seeing what we are fielding talent-wise has to be a bit demoralizing for fans.

Been following, but there's not alot to latch on to. A lot of talent transferred out. Almost none came in. The team is bad. There's no future talent on display to get excited about. Any future talent is on the bench which either is REALLY bad because they're no good or means the coach is REALLY bad because they are good but are just going to transfer at season's end. The playcalling is insipid or delusional. Worse, it's sometimes both. Anyone who is anyone who can do anything about anything, does nothing. Just a frustrating year all around.

At this point, I'm ready to put the old Chanticleer down and get ready for the high drama of Hugh Freeze 2 - Electric Boogaloo just for the laughs. And the W's.

Who would you propose to be the next coach for the team? I'm curious :D

We could pay Danielson a lot more than he is making, but otherwise it is hard to look at that move as anything other than a step down from a football sense.

He is an Azuza Pacific grad, which could possibly make him a Liberty fit, but just as likely could be fools gold.

After digging a little deeper, I'm liking Danielson more and more.
He is a Pacific Northwest guy, and leaving that can be tough to do.

Yeah he's a great guy. Regionality still matters to some degree though. Otherwise, Franklin wouldn't have been VT's first and only choice. That kind of move cross-country is risky.

Come on... this is silly. No good recruits/transfers? Evan Dickens, Donte Lee and Jamari Person have all proven their worth. The offense has struggled because of playcalling and misses in the portal on OL and QB, which are the two most important positions on the team. Jaylon Coleman looks legit and we haven't seen Fannin-Render yet, but he looks more than promising. Defensively, we have to get bigger on the interior and we will have a lot of experience to replace in the secondary, but the staff seems to have been preparing for that. Coaching changes are needed on the defensive side of the ball though. We need a new scheme/approach. Something that's more similar to what we had under Symons/Aldridge.
