Daytona is all about surviving and putting yourself in position to win. William drove smart and had a bit of luck on his side as well. He could have easily been flipping over instead of Preece as he was only inches in front of him on that big crash. Then on the last lap he squeezed by the spinning car up against the wall. Hopefully this great start will be the start of a championship season for him.
