Metheny sitting out tonight. "Load management".

Ritchie has done this before with a veteran player against an overmatched opponent. Peter starting in his place. Ihnen also returns to the starting lineup replacing Maughmer.

Up 41-20 at the half, despite a 1-9 cold spell midway through the period. The entire roster (except Metheny) has played, and Brett Decker is the leading scorer with 11 points, going 3-4 from 3. Peter has 6 and Bryson Spell has scored his first 5 points of the season. CB3 also got his first college points on a 3.

Final score 81-45. 13 players played double digit minutes and everyone scored. We actually had an awful game shooting. Take away the 8 dunks, and we shot just 20-61 from the field. The wide margin was the result of forcing 25 turnovers while only committing 3. Decker finished with 18 and Peter with 12. Kai Yu had 7 points and 6 boards in 12 minutes, getting to the foul line 10 times, but only making 5.

Peter has a smooth shot and his athleticism seems to be close to what Venzants was. I really would like to see him a little more. I thought CB3 looked pretty solid as well. I'm surprised he's still low on the depth charts, though I suppose it could be due to the additions that have more experience. He looks like he could be a key contributor in the future though, so I hope he sticks around. Decker played with a lot of confidence. He hit some nice shots early and was a bully on defense. As a PG though, I thought he was a little selfish and too quick to take shots, instead of working the ball around and using penetration to generate a better shot for someone else.

I give Decker a bit of slack on his shot selection, considering the fact that he was basically the only one hitting. Somebody's gotta do it. 8)
