I find it interesting Grand Canyon can get two conference invites in a matter of a couple years and we had to beg for one for how long and only got an invite due to a conference collapse.

Their profile isn’t much different than ours but we have a bit more baggage. Maybe that’s an indicator that our baggage does hurt us more than some think.

LU has been disliked way before the incidents that have occurred in the last few years. It's more because the school is heavily involved with the "wrong" side of politics plus the position of academia that society has gain accustomed to. The irony of this is the foundation of the favored academics of society was and is rooted in what they accuse LU of being, which is fraudulent, discrimatory and psuedo (Look into social darwinism and the eugenics tree for more information if you'd like). No one should be surprised though living in this fallen world, so maybe this is a sign that LU is possibly headed in the right direction (spiritually speaking). We may not like that we are not getting invites to better conferences, but our representation and mission is quite different. GCU is more open to what is accepted/favored in modern society than LU, so they'll be more accepted than the "bigoted" LU. Maybe when these other conferences are desperate to survive, if that happens, they'll call. No one said it'll be easy .

Them being in one of the biggest markets in the country makes a huge difference between us and them. Plus the pickings get slim quickly in that part of the country. If you are a mountain time zone based conference and want into the biggest market in the mountain time zone who else can you grab?

Mountain West is in talks with Tarleton State? Is this just rumors or really going on? I'm hearing deep talks too. It's crazy if this come into fruition; a once D2 school not too long ago will upgrade in a slightly better conference than LU. LU must definitely be in limbo

I see Mountain West becoming an over rated conference. (just like Big 10 is)

PAC-whatever in talks with ESPN and Fox. $8 - $10 million per school is what the rumor is.

This is interesting. Apparently schools are starting to work buyouts into contracts with players with revenue sharing on the horizon. It would be good for smaller schools that are constantly getting poached but there's questions about its legality.

If truth were to ever be known, the portal is worse than NIL. It leads to tampering and poaching players from other schools. I personally know of this happening.
