I thought we already had a thread starting for him, but I couldn't find it.

I met the guy yesterday, and he seems to be a great individual. I can't wait to see him play, and see how he will gel with LB. Is it true that he has only 3 semesters left of eligibility, and if so what semesters does he play? Should he play all next year since we would have LB, and hold him out Fall of '07? Or should we hold him out this coming fall and let him play 3 semesters straight?

I am really excited about him being a flame, and I know he has to play a game first because as we have seen in the past, it could happen that he never plays a game. But I know the coaching staff will do all they can to make sure he is making his grades, and is ready to go.

He's sitting three rows ahead of me right now in Hindson's class, right next to McClean, ha.

I'd imagine he'll sit out the first semester of next year (if it's anything like last year, it'll only be 5-6 games anyway) and play three straight. I think it's pretty much a given that he'll start at PG with LB in the backcourt. He just has too much talent not to play right away.

JC He is ineligible as a second semester transfer to play next fall. He can play in the Spring sememster which technically is after the last final exam in the fall. He will miss 5-8 games but will have most of the season. Basically his redshirt year is his transfer year (the present semester and next fall) so redshirting him other than a medical redshirt is out of the question. Dwight is a nice kid to me too. I have not spent a lot of time with him due to my day job but I tell you when I see him he is very animated. He and I had a half court shooting contest a few weeks back. Neither of us were hitting that many but I would say that I made a few more than him. I think he is going to be fine as a Liberty Hooper.

Hopefully, Coach D will schedule only a few games before the break, and backload the schedule for December.

Coach D has said that there will be an attempt to play as few games as possible before finals are over. Good strategy, I'd say.

That's good from the competetive standpoint, but also from Brew being able to mesh with the rest of the team in games before Big South play starts.
