Today may have given Malik another 2 years in the league. Everyone needs a backup with his attitude and skill set. As Kricket stated, what a classy interview! Raw and honest with genuineness in every response. Branding the impact of LU athletes in higher level of competition.

Probably so; and if he can back it up with continued solid play while Love is out, it could lead to a shot at being a QB1 somewhere.

Honestly being a QB2 is a better longterm situation. QB1 flameouts don't typically last long in the league. But a solid showing as the QB2 on the regular can potentially lead to 15 years or more on NFL rosters collecting checks with minimal stress on the body. Sign me up!

I just saw Case Keenum has his own Progressive commercial this weekend illustrating just such value. A few spot starts for the Texans & Vikings has turned into a lucrative career for him. Great guy BTW. I covered him in college & NFL and he would be a great fit for LU at some point if he doesn't wind up coaching in the league long-term.

Not gonna lie, Packer fans compare so favorably to Titans fans. The level of respect and encouragement from Green Bay is the polar opposite of Tennessee.

Malik might get a chance to show what he can do against the Titans this week but I’m hearing conflicting reports on Love potentially getting the start. Some of that may be gamesmanship on the Packers side.

Malik was featured on The QB School YouTube channel this week. It's an excellent breakdown of his first Packers start:

It was great to see him take the checkdowns and play smart football. I don't think he tried to force a homerun once throughout this game. I'd think a QB2's job description is to be decisive and limit mistakes; Malik did both.

Not the same org that drafted and coached him. He said this week it didn’t matter for that reason. Smart. Ignore that and just Ball.

Here's one. Malik Willis’ 73 rushing yards the second most by a Packers QB in a game since the 1970 merger trailing only Don Majkowski's 88 in 1990 against the Lions.

Love better hurry back 8)

I love that Malik takes the high road but the Titans organization doesn't deserve it. IMHO Amy Adams-Strunk deserves this all to blow up in her face.

Living an hour from Green Bay, you wouldn’t believe how many locals have texted me about how impressed they are with Malik. It’s a testament to the temperament of Packer fans but also Malik just being so easy to support.

Love will probably be back next week but it’s been a fun ride for the last two weeks. Some of my friends are even saying Jordan Love better hope he doesn’t have 2-3 bad games… I think that’s hyperbole but still fun to experience as a Packer fan.

Great to hear from you, badger74. Thanks for the link.

It is going to be tough for those admins to keep the 'No Religion' out of the conversation since it is so vital to who he is.

I also blame Vrabel. I think he's toxic and had his mind made up about Malik before he even arrived for training camp as a rookie. Malik was not Tannehill... he has a very different skillset. Their unwillingness to change their offensive scheme to suit Malik's skills once Tannehill went out was terrible.

Even if he has a bad game, it's hard to root against Malik. The guy is just flat out likeable.
