On a bicycle?

I don't want to hear anything about jet lag, it is a mind thing. (I have flown millions of miles in those cattle cars, they call commercial airlines). Now if you fly to Europe, I can give you a break. But anywhere in the lower 48? No way. Especially with these young guys.
It was the baby blues for sure. Don't know how any football player could sleep knowing they had to wear those things the next day.
Leave on Thursday? Technically they are students and are supposed to attend class occasionally?

I never went to a single class at Liberty and have two degreees. I think Liberty (of all schools) could figure it out.

That game was not fun to watch, until the last 2 minutes. There were a lot of bad things that happened in that game that absolutely must be addressed. After game 1 HCJC mentioned that if we didn't clean up our act, we wouldn't win another game this season. We won Saturday night/Sunday morning, but I don't think it was because we "cleaned up our act."

Penalties during normal play are going to happen... it's the deadball stuff that has me scratching my head :dontgetit

I will say that I think a lot of teams are playing us dirtier. That chop block aimed RIGHT at Jay Hardy's knee was blatant and somehow didn't get called. The OLineman for NMSU was engaged with him and the TE dove straight at his knee. There was another play that happened RIGHT in front of the referee where an NMSU DLineman had Cooley wrapped up for a TFL in the backfield but clearly pulled on his face mask. KSalt seemed livid that there was a no call.

I think our offensive line play will improve. The talent seems to be there, but the issue is one of chemistry. We were blessed with talent AND good health last year, such that our OL starters played every game. So far this year, we don't have that same blessing. Hopefully, we get healthy and stay that way here in the next few weeks.

We lead the nation in penalty yardage. Never thought that would happen at Liberty. The corners played. way off the ball and it was a disaster until they made an adjustment and played up close to the line. Why did Alex Oliver play so much - he pass interfered every single time! The defense seems to come out too passive and almost be reactive rather than come at the other team from opening snap.

Offensively, bad red zone playcalling, dropped passes. Running Salter to the short. side of the field against his natural throwing. motion made no sense. Not putting Cooley in the game until late.

I'm sure I'll take flack for this, but I'm going to nit-pick here. We don't lead the nation in anything. We are dead last in the category of "fewest penalty yards"

I watched this play live and went back to watch it a couple of times and each time it looked more egregious. There's no hesitation - the TE goes straight at his knee leaning with the crown of his head and then is staring down at Jay Hardy as he's getting up. Jay Hardy is a big loss.

I know there's been a lot of discussion about our penalties, particularly Gray's, but it seems that he was responding to something that was happening to him or another teammate. Anyone have any idea?

To be fair, I don't think the intent was a dirty play. It is still (should have been) an obvious penalty! The TE is trying to chip #3 Bush who lined up on the edge and was left alone by the tackle. When Hardy swims to his left, he got in the line of fire. Watch it again with the formation in line and you will see that. Bush evades and the H back whiffs him and hits Hardy.

I disagree wholeheartedly. It looks to me as though his attention was on Hardy the entire time. The stare down as he is getting up clinches it for me.
