Salter throwing the deep ball is a thing of beauty.

First sack of the season!

We really need to make this 13-17 going into the half.

1st and Goal from the two needs to be a touchdown. I love the flare out to Hanshaw as a changeup, but its on tape repeatedly now and everyone in the stadium knew that was coming. Salter has to get north/south on the ensuing play as well.

Lots of ugly football so far. Hopefully the second half makes up for the late night.

I hate the jerseys.

Salter making bad reads in run game, but the throws have been good.

Everyone coming out of NMSU’s backfield looks explosive and impossible to tackle.

I am so glad no one is overreacting over on other social media sites. :D

6 quarters of football and some are already talking about firing the entire defensive staff.

Just stop it.

That’s 2 sacks…amazing how much pressure on the QB improves the overall defense.
Drastic turnaround from first three drives.

Don’t know why people are bagging so much on the D. After the first two drives, NMSU hasn’t moved the ball much. Got most of their passing yards in a screen play early.

D has been good enough. It’s the offense that can’t seem to find rhythm or the endzone.

When offense is struggling, the penalties sting even more. Killed that drive.

I have no problem with electing to kick the FG there, because our defense has been dominating their O.

But our kicker must be a head case, because the moment he had to kick one from 40+ he changed his entire approach and form. That was awful.

D could not stop a wet sieve in the first half. Looks like they were able to make some type of adjustments at half but they were terrible in the first half

Not the entire first half. Go back and look.

Our receivers are struggling mightily. They aren’t getting open and I’ve seen at least 3 passes dropped that should have been catches. One of which was in the end zone.

I take back everything I said about the defense. They are clearly better at scoring than the offense.

But in all seriousness they did a complete 180 after the first few possessions.

Their enormous nose tackle has been immovable. They know everything has to go to the edges and are teeing off, as was the case on the failed 2pt.

The lack of CJ Daniels to bail out drives by winning contested catches is noticeable as well.

Through 7 and half quarters we have 20 penalties for 231 yards this year…

Don't understand the playcall on the 2-point conversion. I guess they figured Salter around the end hasn't worked all game, so we're due.

And the unsportsmanlike penalties are unacceptable.
