I’m totally ok. The defense was a bigger liability than Bill Clinton overseeing an internship program. I don’t know if it was the scheme or the talent but I’m not upset if any leave
You're a Mountaineer and probably burning a couch to celebrate one of our leaders in interceptions going to WVU :P
Purple is probably getting fitted for a WVU jersey with Singleton's name on the back!

WVU has had better and better defenses. Especially D Line. I’m just not sure if it’s Talent or Scheme. If he is talented and it was the Scheme he will do well

on3 was reporting it as a done deal (Singleton to WVU) but it looks like they have removed it. Sorry for a false report. They are usually pretty good but there are no guarantees in this new landscape.

There's a reason why Huntington and most of the outside world refer to it as "Morganhole." Apparently, after some wise counsel, Singleton is no longer considering the 'Eers. Maybe he wanted a real education and/or off-campus housing that didn't involve living in a trailer park.

In looking at available QBs that could fit the system I have found the following to be intriguing options:

Jayden Maiava (UNLV)
Jordan McCloud (JMU)
Robby Ashford (Auburn)
Ty Thompson (Oregon)
Diego Pavia (New Mexico St)
Jayden de Laura (Arizona)
Reese Poffenbarger (Albany)
Jeff Simms (Nebraska)

Hopefully one of these guys could come in and fill the gap until one of our 2 young QBs are ready

You know what they say ‘if you can’t go to college, go to Marshall’

The locals will tell you that quote only applies to Fairmont.

A month ago CJ Daniel’s reposted Quinten Reese’s post and now he’s in the portal. Perhaps the change of heart was driven by Salter leaving, or perhaps he was recruited. We will never know, but it’s interesting to me.

I don’t know how good Jordan Mccloud is but he seems like he may be a culture fit potentially.

If LU signs a JMU quarterback, Ballcoach might never go to another LU football game! :nono :oldhag :nonono

Ty Thompson would have been great but he is headed to Tulane.

I would love to see McCloud come in just t see the epic response on the JMU board. But seriously, he's an attractive option.

We are all aware of what Pavia brings to the table. Not sure if he is a cultural fit. But I could be wrong.

Jeff Sims (spelled like Billy and not Phil) is from Jax and fits the dual threat scheme we run well. He used to to run the triple threat at Georgia Tech before his brief time in Nebraska. He has just one last season of eligibility.

Poffenbarger is from Maryland and had a breakout year. He started out at ODU where he redshirted before starting the past two seasons at Albany in the Colonial. This season, he completed just under 60% of his passes for over 3600 yards with 36 TDs & 13 INTs and he added 5 TDs on the ground.

Obviously we offered the kid from Campbell. So he has to be included in the discussion at some point.

Saw the Campbell QB live first game of the season. Good athlete, pretty fast. Stats not as impressive as Poffenbarger. Campbell had a disappointing season given how many FBS transfers Minter was able to bring in.

Between this and our running back room projected to be even better we will be fine on offense next year. Even i could've averaged 4 yards a carry behind that O Line. What they accomplished this year doesn't get enough credit.

The Twitter interwebs are saying Salter removed himself from the portal and will return to LU…is this true?

It did seem weird that Salter didn’t have anything posted about him transferring but I figured he already knew where he was going… Glad he’s coming back. We could use a bit of stability.
