Maestro’s steak house is my 2nd favorite steak place in America.
Blanco Cochino (sp) is a regional Mexican place that I really like.
If you want to spend a full day you can get a tour from your place to Secona/Grand Canyon
The Zoo isn’t bad
There’s a Wildlife Refuge that I’ve been to a couple of times that’s really cool
Casino’s. Lots of nice casinos.
Top Golf
Also LOTS of golf.
Thanks, man! Will keep that in mind. Definitely want to get some hiking/sightseeing in. Maybe Sedona. Grand Canyon is a haul.
We are probably not going to do the GC this time. We might drive up to Sedona on Saturday
We DID book a Sunset Hot Air Balloon thing on Friday. That’s been a bucket list item for Mrs Purple.
We also booked Mastros for Thursday night. @aredd33 Maybe we will see you there ? They do have a Seafood Tower available that has freshly flown in items. I’m deathly allergic to seafood but we get it ever time we go there for sales meetings and everyone raves about it!

Purple, me and my crew are going to Mastro's, it won out in the battle of the last three steakhouses but will be going on Sunday night.

It sounds like most people here are staying longer than me and my wife. We are arriving about 10 on Sunday morning and then leaving on a redeye Tuesday morning.
I don't know anybody on this board is there anything going on where some of y'all would be to meet up? Just curious as I'd like to put some faces with the names. I thought maybe there was some event or something going on. If not no big deal. Just curious.

Not sure where you are staying, but everything seems to be going on in Scottsdale except the game. There is a pep rally and New Years Eve get together at the designated hotel for Flames alumni, fans, etc. I cant remember the name but go to the website LU sent out for the bowl game and there is a link. I know that's not much help, but I called today and the Flames Club said they'd be sending out more information.

Gotcha, I'll keep an eye on the flames club emails.
Also, I just lied. We will not be eating at Mastro's. New Year's Eve is a really tough time to get a reservation, I just tried. Tried all 3 locations and wasn't able to get anything close to what I was looking for. Same with Steak 44. Kinda bummed but I will find my steak though.

For those of you that read the "liberty" Oregonian article the other day, he really went off in todays. For the record, this guy is from a news service from hours away and in no way reflects actual Eugene Duck fans. Most have some worry about this game, to different degrees. This guy is living in the "Portland Bubble" and seems to just love irritating people and acting like a child.

Half the players and good coaches in ncaa football are Christian. He's driving them our way. Future looks bright here on the mountain. 👍

Any one know about any watch parties (Liberty or Oregon) going on in Charlotte for us poor retired folks?

When we played West Virginia years ago I heard about a WV watch party that was taking place up town at a bar. I mentioned it on this site and there must have been 25-30 LU fans that showed up in LU gear. Had a good time. And no, Purple was not there. At least as far as I know.

That’s cause I was THERE in Gods Country!

Honestly it sounds like you have the best plan. Figure out where to go then just tell everyone to meet there.

Bar was Whiskey River. But I believe the WV crew had a standing watch party most every week during the season. Think the manager did what ever he had to do to stream it for them about every week. Those WV fans must have been heavy drinkers :D

I hear you...I've been to a few of those sales meetings in Scottsdale while with Stuart before J&J bought us. No beverages there...

Good article. The Ducks have really had a good run the last few years of quarterbacks with great character, starting in large part with Marcus Mariota. I think he set the standard for what we expect in a quarterback and Herbert and Nix have really followed through with the same level. The best part is, with these three at least, is that it isn't for show or fake. Us in Eugene would know, because we interact with them and everyone that is around them and in Herberts case we actually know his family and friends too. I hope we can continue, football ability aside, getting high moral character and community minded young men for the team.

My gut tells me Bo didn't want to no show "Liberty". That's why he'll be playing.

I’ll be there. But we probably need to introduce ourselves via Alias. Sort of like our secret code Study

I would say no, because students are gone and most all staff will already be there. Maybe I'm wrong, but...
