Clemson looks better than everyone. UF exposed Bama. I think Texas A&M is better than ND. If Iowa State had beaten OU, I’d say give them a shot. I hate letting OSU in, but no one else has made a compelling enough case to knock them out.

Agreed, I think that is what they will do. The love for ND is fierce. I just don’t think they are better than Texas A&M. And I hate Ohio State would get in having played so few games.

Oklahoma is HOT right now. Nobody wants to play them.

Another year, another case for expanded playoffs.

Like the guys on CGD said, the playoff has created less interest in the regular season, more transfers and opt-out’s, less intensity in the regular season. Maybe expanding the playoff to 6 or 8 would help with that. Because right now every year it’s going to be Bama, Clemson and Ohio State plus one.

Ohio State should not have been in championship game. B10 had to break their own rules, to get them in. 5 games should not even get a team in a .com bowl, much less playoffs. Cincinnati over Coastal because AAC is better than Sun Belt.

I would love to see 8 teams in the playoffs. At least one has to be a G5 if they are in the top 20.

Or I'd love to see an 8 team playoff, but have 7 vs. 10 and 8 vs. 9 as play in games. I would also require that at least 2 teams be G5 or Independent if those teams land in top 20. They could be in play in games, and probably wouldn't make final 8 anyway, but it gives them a chance.
