With the 20th, 22nd, 25th, and likely 26th ranked teams in the AP poll losing (Washington down 21-0 at the half), our chances of being ranked again tomorrow look really good.

Heck yea, unfortunately the ESPN ticker has converted to CFB poll so not as much exposure if/when we fall outside of that top 25 and doubtful we make it. They treat non P5 teams a lot harsher ( and rightfully so in most cases ).

What is your magic number of games that need to be played in order to be ranked? We were ranked after playing only 6 games, one of which really doesn't count since it was FCS. So with 5 FBS games played, we were ranked. Now you are saying that 3 or 4 games played is not enough to be ranked. So, what is the correct number of games that need to be played?

Specifically no Big 10 or PAC 12 teams should be ranked. They haven't played as many games as SEC, ACC or Big 12. They first said they not playing. Then they decided they wanted Ohio State and Oregon in playoffs, so they restarted season.and gave everyone a cupcake schedule.

If Marshall is a top 15 team, we should be top 10. Down 13-0 to Rice.

The Marshall loss to a 1-2 Rice team ought to bolster our chances to not only stay in the AP and Coaches Top 25, but to crack the CFP Top 25.
