What a place to snare your first victory! That song popped in my head as I watched the last 20 laps. If you missed it it's worth watching. You'll know what I mean.

I know Jr was close to the owners and sounds like he got a few kick backs. Just wonder if this is something Liberty will continue to invest in?I think it is in the grand scheme of things. Although to be a true World Leading University they should look at F1!

Students can invest and research with car parts which can coordinate with other projects. Rise in mechanical engineering anyone?

We’ve watched the Monte Carlo race the last several years. The Netflix Docuseries turned me on to it. Qualifying is really ingenious. How they have competition 1-10 gives every race something fun to watch. The audience is certainly larger. I’m pretty hooked on it now
I went to German Grand Prix once. There was one pass the entire race, and that was for 6th or 7th place, if I remember correctly. Happened on lap 1.
Sly Fox wrote: ↑August 30th, 2020, 5:56 pm I have worked with the F1 teams from the sponsor side for about a decade. For awhile I was really into the action particularly during the shortlived IMS stops especially in the latter Schumacher years when he was dueling Hamilton before retirement. I have been angling for a sponsor pass to the races in Austin the past few years and haven't been able to score any yet at COTA in Austin. I was flying through Austin during race week a couple of years ago and the lines of private jets from Europe at the airport were incredible. On our European Vacation next year we are overnight in Monte Carlo. I’m definitely hitting the Casino...cause James Bond. But the highlight will be the Grand Prix Historique. I guess being from Indiana gravitating to F1 isn’t a stretch. And AJ Foyt is a LEGEND in Indiana
I have always enjoyed open wheel and miss the glory days of CART before Tony George destroyed the sport through his greed. AJ Foyt lives near me on his massive horse ranch and his garage for his IndyCar team is nearby as well. A full Brickyard is the most awe-inspiring spectacle in sports.
As for William, I'd love to see him go on a nice run during the playoffs to make our sponsorships bring their full value. Last night was incredible.
