I've got to wonder if he was already given the word he would be first to go considering he removed all mention of LU from his page but who knows.

JMO, but I believe he has crawled into his turtle shell, trying to deflect and keeping his big head down. He may get life without parole instead of the needle. He is not a good person from what I know. IMHO.

Lol I don't think anyone on this thread wants to replace our current skinny jeans pastor with an even tighter pair of them.
Then you are all missing the Incredible Historical significance of this move. Karma. Irony. Full Circle. Etc

Well that is certainly a hot take not based on anything scriptural. Also, I've seen Jonathan Falwell preach without a tie on , better call a deacons meeting and get him in line!

In all seriousness, I know your views are common place with your generation (suit and ties for pastors) but it isn't based on anything found in scripture. If that is your thing, then that is fine but if you're trying to claim one can't pastor unless they wear a suit and tie. That is just silly.

Well, I can see this is going nowhere.

Newsflash, worldly people wear suits too.

ALL you need to know about Jay Bakker is that he has been quoted as saying "I am proud of my last name". Hard to believe his name ended up here, even in jest.

Trying to use reason and logic in a discussion with BC is fruitless.

Wall St. Execs, political leaders, and lots of powerful men who do worldly things wear suits and ties. Perhaps pastors should wear jeans, or shorts and flip-flops, to differentiate themselves. I mean, Jesus himself didn't dress in fancy robes, preferring to wear the garments of common folk.
