what are you talking about? conspiracy? they win, they move up in the rankings. they lose, they move down. they've lost 4 straight games. 2 since the last ranking came out. i would assume that would put them out of the top 25, and you're right, they don't belong there, but i would not call it a conspiracy if they end up being ranked somewhere between 20th and 25th this week. "conspiracy"... i don't think so.

Tough game for UVa, but Im not at all suprised. It was time for us to have a bad game, and the other team to have a good one and that's what happened. Just need to win out hopefully, and be 13-3, or slip up once and finish 12-4 and at least third in conference.

If they get 7 wins in conference and win a game in the ACC Tourney they are in...RPI and SOS, Lunardi said last night that he has 9 teams going to the dance out of the ACC....and had Dook as an 8 seed boy would that make an interesting matchup

well all the people posting about if duke deserves to get in or not are UNC fans, so you are not looking at this objectively. take a look at duke's quality wins with their RPI from college RPI.COM:

air force (16)
B.C (19)
clemson(21)
georgetown(26)
gonzaga(57)

so that is four wins against the RPI top 30. now look at the quality losses:

marquette(22)
florida st(29)
VT(33)
UVA(34)
maryland(35)
ga. tech(56)

i know the GT and MD are a stretch, but right now duke gets in. even if they finish 7-9 i still think they get in. their strength of schedule is #4. no conspiracies at all. those are the facts.

Duke deserves in. They've had some quality OOC wins. AFA, IU, Gonzaga, although that last one is looking less and less impressive. The comittee does take into account late season pushes/collapses and this is applicable at the moment.

as of right now, the dukies deserve to be in the tourney. however, they have 5 conference games left, plus st. john's. i say they win 2 out of their last six. unless they can win first and second round games in the acc tourney i say there is no chance they make the big dance.

wow, I agree with most of the above but I've never seen a fan of a team who's got that successful of a coach, feel that way about him. Crazy.
