( I have watched every single FBS facility tour available on YouTube )
For those who think they have a pretty boring life, remember Tyndal. It could be worse!
Ha - yes, one of the quirks of being a lifelong bachelor - occasionally bored but never bitter...

Hmmmm... The bitterness comes from marriage. Never considered that!

For those at Cure Bowl - did the overhangs on the stadium elevate the noise ? Crowd seemed very loud on TV - wondering with our attendance issues if this rendering would be a major boost in game noise. Down side is severe shadows field players have to deal with, and I don’t think it looks quite as good - but if it significantly raises the noise level - might be a good investment.

I don't think it made any difference at all. Both fan bases, were really into the game and made lots of noise. But, never being there before, it is hard to make a good judgement.

The primary purpose of the overhang is to provide shade for people in the upper deck, the extra crowd noise is just a bonus. I would argue shade isn't super important for a stadium that's used primarily during mild weather.

6 pm kickoffs the shade doesn’t work for east side any way - not much for 2 o clock either - which those are cold weather Kickoffs anyway - But if it makes the stadium 25% louder trapping the student section noise - lets do it.

I remember Michigan's stadium being notoriously quite despite 110,000+ because there was no overhang or luxury/press boxes to trap the sound. Once they build the luxury boxes on both sides it apparently made it louder.

I visited campus today. Checked out football stadium, arena and parking garage construction , and softball stadium.
There's a Cure Bowl Champions sign on the football stadium wall, on south end of stadium.

And for the record, LU removed its "No Trespassing" signs, so Ballcoach was not breaking any laws today!

There are currently about a dozen applications on Lynchburg's permitting website for Verizon to install small cell facilities all over Liberty's campus. I assume this is the first step in bringing Verizon 5G coverage to campus over the next couple of years.

Well I don't think this will take long.
I kind of thought that too when you posted it.

I imagined that the guys putting up the trusses would keep going and other workers would follow behind with bracing, battens, roofing, etc.

However, it seems to be a smallish crew working on it. Looks like the same guys that are putting up the trusses are then going back and doing all the bracing work and even putting on the roof.
