Calling the reporter at midnight? :dontgetit
I think Jr. needs to join a 12 step program. I pray that LU will be able to survive his antics. How does one call a parent a "dummy" in public? SMH. Whatever it takes.

a few things :

- a few counties in CA including LA co have been doing antibody testing randomly and estimate 4% of their population have/had the virus. which is 50x the confirmed number.

- they've tested a few bodies that died early february in their homes and they have tested positive for corona virus.

its been here a while and many of us have or have had it.

I’m on Daddy Day Care duty this morning and have been reading during episodes of Dora and Paw Patrol. A few interesting things (rubber mentioned two of them):

Two California antibody tests suggests roughly 4% of the population has had Covid-19. That’s significantly higher than expected.

Confirmed coronavirus tests in California show earliest deaths were early February, three weeks earlier than thought.

Covid pneumonia is a very tricky and hard to diagnose form which is what leads to things getting so serious so fast.

I know this is not the non-athletic covid thread but Im having a very hard time believing this thing wasn't blown out of proportion in some way shape or form.
Don't hold your breath. They'll probably mention waves of the virus to continue the quarantine. As I recall, a quarantine is to keep those infected in closed areas. Arresting people for going out side is more like tyranny. That's just my two cents.

yeah if there is a way to begin mass antibody testing that resulted in a nation wide estimate that 4% already have the antibodies

and nyc numbers are around 14% initially. lets say it ends up being like 7% across the nation. (these models used made up numbers why can't i! )

if 7% of the nation have the antibodies that means 25,200,000 million people have probably had the virus. if that is the real case, 00.2% of the people who get it die (i think the death numbers contained people who didn't die of corona but i also think there are dead people who did die of this who haven't been recorded too so lets call it a wash) . our normal death rate in the US is 00.8%. couple that with the fact its been here much earlier than the first reported cases, I think the hysteria is likely to dwindle.

Yeah, I am pretty shocked they haven't gone with the blanket "until further notice" statement so I appreciate having a date.

a date that is completely arbitrary. we are going based off the states recommendation. i'm like great, we are doomed if we listen to the coolaid man.

Unfortunately, the McKinsey people are still doing pretty well with it. Word needs to get out on that.

yeah its interesting the people who we keep hearing from about how we just need to wait this out or we just need to keep things closed are the ones who have jobs at the moment and are getting a paycheck.

Not as well as you might think. Some companies are doubling down for survival and others are being forced by their boards to cut consulting altogether.

Coumo and his coalition of Eastern governors just hired them to coordinate their economic re-opening. You can't make that stuff up. McKinsey is as much to blame as any non government entity in the world for the amount of outsourcing American companies have been doing with China and our reliance on them for our supply chain.

YouTube has removed this video due to misinformation. Here is the statement from the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) jointly and emphatically condemn the recent opinions released by Dr. Daniel Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi. These reckless and untested musings do not speak for medical societies and are inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19. As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.

COVID-19 misinformation is widespread and dangerous. Members of ACEP and AAEM are first-hand witnesses to the human toll that COVID-19 is taking on our communities. ACEP and AAEM strongly advise against using any statements of Drs. Erickson and Massihi as a basis for policy and decision making.

We all want to move on with our lives and we are all aware of how sensationalized 24/7 news has become but that isn't an excuse to believe anybody and everybody just because we like what they say.

The sooner folks realize that, the quicker they will be able to apply critical thinking to everything they read and hear.
But the establishment never has an angle right?
I only watched part of this video but it was all over the place. The key takeaway I got was that hospitals are empty all over the place. Judging by UVA’s most recent announcement they were on to something
