You are right, he did. The targeting rule is a two-parter where part B you hardly see. Part A is forcible contact to head and neck area, part B is leading with the crown of the helmet, which is what he did, and it can be called when done to any part of the body. It’s more a rule to protect the tackler in that situation. That’s a dangerous way to tackle someone, for your own health.

At halftime Maine’s coach told Melody that what frustrated him most was how beatable Liberty is. At the time I rolled my eyes. He was definitely right. There’s no reason we should have given up 44 points, almost 500 yards (if not 500 now) and 5 touchdowns to a freshman QB. Rutgers just may win game #2 next Saturday. I am very disappointed.
