This Saturday is what we have all been dreaming of for years. I remember thinking we were "big time" when we demolished the old press box and were putting up the concrete rebar for the new Carter Tower (10 years ago!!!). As students, this day and this season were a pipe dream, but we knew it would happen "one day". I remember friends of mine telling me how we were going to build a new football stadium with a horseshoe back in 2007! Here we are. Big time stadium. Big time opponents. Big time coach. As football fans, this season and this Saturday are everything we have wanted for a LONG time. Let's GO FLAMES!

Back in 2003 when I watched my first Liberty football game at a 12,000 seat, glorified high school stadium, I would have never thought it would be possible for us to reach to this point in such a short time. Hosting a ranked FBS opponent from a P5 conference. Regardless of what happens on Saturday, this is an amazing time in our history. It has been fun talking about it, starting that game thread on Saturday night and watching our team play in front of a (hopefully) record crowd will be amazing.
