The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

Lipscomb comes to town with a 19-8-1 record. .278 BA and 3.24 ERA. Double header Saturday, and single game Sunday. Hopefully weather will be good and attendance will be good.

Lipscomb has scored 148 runs in 28 games (5.3 runs a game) and have given up 100 runs (3.6 runs a game).
LU has scored 132 runs in 29 games (4.6 runs a game) and have given up 61 runs (2.1 runs a game).

Although the competition has been different, we would seem to have a decided edge in pitching while their offense has been more potent. They were embarrassed by FSU (excellent team) twice-losing both times by the "mercy" rule.

If the same LU team shows up vs Lipscomb, that showed up vs Tennessee, we will be ok.

I’ve confirmed it. The same team that was in Nashville is in San José right now.

A quick look at Lipscomb's schedule makes that hard to believe.

But there is no column on scoreboard for RPI.

We trail 7-2 in 6th inning. Our worst performance of the season, unless we Mount a late comeback.

Lose 7-2. No hitting, no pitching. Worst loss of season. On to Duke Wednesday.

Not sure why Dot keeps marching Kirby and Engler out there so often. We have 3 pitchers who have been effective, DiMartino, Cassady and Cooper. Don't let Coopers 1-3 record deceive you. She has been the victim of poor defense and actually has the best ERA on the team. 3 pitchers is plenty in college softball.

Yesterday we did not pitch, hit or field the ball . All things considered, probably our worst game of the season.
