For ugliest floor design!

Liberty lettering (14). Give the Falwellian Flames credit for being original and avoiding center-jump trash. But the words that blare above and below the circle overpower the court.

Although in fairness, that's last year's court.

I'm going to send the guy an e-mail in a few to tell him that we ditched the lettering, with a link to this pic:

And hopefully, not the pic with the giant mountain drawn on the floor.

Only because I can't find it.[/img]

Someone need to send them a photo of the old "on fire" flaming court from back in Coach Meyer's day.

I believe you would be refering to the Burger King Crown design at half court about 10 years ago! Hey it was a great pic up line for me with the future Mrs Purple

Was it a fire? I thought it was a mountain.

Anyone have a pic? I know they're rare, especially because the design is so ugly that LU has airbrushed it out of their media guide.

No, I'm not kidding.

We used to call the Vines Center the "home of the whopper". It looked like a giant burger with a flame around it.

The Vines did look better back then. That thing ages faster than Kristen Dunst.

Yes, I ripped that line off of Bill Simmons, but I couldn't let a choice zinger like that get away.

Yes, the Vines did look nicer back then. I say finish installing the new seats, put a fresh coat of paint on the walls, replace the ceiling tiles in the drop-down ceiling thingy, get rid of the yellow padded seats, and it'd look better again.

And top it off with a brand new coach.

Been there & done that. The cap was put on by a helocopter!

Greg Marshall? Can anyone report a Greg Marshall sighting on campus? :P
At least RD is better dressed than Temple's former coach (Cheney) and Bobby Knight with those too-tight sweaters of his.

You're ragging on Dunton's clothes now? What is wrong with his clothes?

VMI's coach wore a golf shirt and a sweater vest, and you're ragging on Dunton?

The oldtimers remember the days when RD used to drop his jacket and coach in just his white dress shirt that would always work it's way out, but always only in the back and one of the front tails. Classic Dunton--I wish we had a pic for a visual.
