Why are we finding out about coaching from outside sources.
It would be nice if the program contacted local guys first to get the scoop.
Buy local!
That´s what football scoop does, and they are good at it. I don´t think anyone at Liberty big timed Damien or Jon to give them a scoop. They just dug it out.

This may not be popular... But I think we need to revamp the leadership there... 1,2,3 :(
Not popular is probably an understatement.

I know haha. But from a physical standpoint, I think our teams have been lacking the past 4 years compared previous seasons (may be coaching and strategy and not s&c). Exclude this year because it was a step up in competition. I just remember our o and d lines being more phycisal in the past. Yes could have been coaching.

I followed Football Scope or whatever that site is called, during our search for new coach. Wasn't too impressed with it. Then again I had other source(s), that were more accurate in the end.

I would take Gracie over Hot Lips any day.

HAte to see stamn go. Harris is a nice move. Sad that it was at KDs expense. Glad he and wilkins could stay on though. Like all the other movies.

Guess that also means singletary is gone as well. So it appears MB And wimbo could be the lone holdovers. I thought singletary KD and stamn all had a shot but im sure he wants more of “his guys”.

Dont overlook MB being a former player that got to the league. I would bet thats a big deal along with his performance.

I believe KD will remain on staff.

I think Gillespie has earned the ability to retire instead of not being retained, but that's purely my opinion on the matter

Not sure my opinion on KD having the keys to the offense, personally, but he definitely made significant strides as WR coach and he could well be someone on the rise to a position like that.

Not gunna happen. He will most likely be offensive QC. It may seem like a demotion, but from a career standpoint, it probably will look better on his resume to be in that position under Freeze than WR coach under TG.

Looks like we are just waiting on OC/QB, DC/S or CB, and a position coach for either CB or S. That's anticipating that Wimbo will coach the LBs.

Wimbo did safeties at buffalo and Kansas. He may be doing that with us.

If my memory serves me right, GAs and QC guys cannot go on the recruiting trail.

KD was one of our best recruiters, according to message board.

He actually coached the LBs under Rocco at LU and during his one year at Buffalo (famously including Kalil Mack). He moved to safeties at Kansas and continued that when he returned to the mountain. He could end up with the safeties, but it seems to me his track record was a lot better with the LBs. Obviously, a lot will depend on who the other 2 defensive hires are.

That is correct, and we will be losing a goot recruiter, but keep in mind the new WR coach was also recruiting coordinator for Ole Miss. I think he will do fine here.
