Every hiker in the area knows of the "Devil's Marble Yard" off of 501 North; well, with all the rocks being added to Liberty Mountain to help frame the new "LU" above Candler's Station we have our own "Heaven's Marble Yard."

Do you like this new rocky looking LU logo or not?

As it stands now, I don't think it looks good, but it's only maybe 20% finished in terms of the stone. I think once it gets finished and the LU gets colored in it'll look good.

IMO it all depends what color the LU is. If they go with blue or red letters, that would be great

I'm hearing that they are going with some type of red bushes, but they will only be in bloom for part of the year.

Sorry, Sly, I don't have a digital camera, but I wish someone could provide us with weekly photos of this. Right now, it looks like a big round circle with white rocks only on the bottom 3rd of it.

If they indeed were to plan some kind of red bushes or something, it would make it look a million times better.. it's kind of plain and boring right now.

From what an article in the N&A once said, the red plants, which will make up the L and U, are red all year long.

What they should plant, is fire bushes. Besides the obvious reason (flames) That would be cool to have the logo green in the summer and bright red in the fall (football season). It would just kinda be depressing in the winter when there's no leaves.
