The second staple of wimberley defense reveals itself. Completely blow coverage.

Who thought NMSU had the best QB in this game?

After 2 years of starts I really expected to see him make strides in his consistency and in his decision making but he is still just relying on his arm talent. The head game needs to develop. IF he can mature he would be unstoppable.

This statement is interesting on a couple levels:

1) Calvert's football IQ and situational awareness have been his weak spot since he got here. If he was better in those areas, he would've been a no-brainer for bigger schools than us. His arm talent is definitely upper-G5, lower P5 quality.

2) With Dailey being the OC and QB coach, I wonder how much he's able to invest directly into Calvert. This is back in the Rocco years, but our quarterback development slowed down when Streeter became OC and QB coach. He didn't have the capacity to be as hands on with the QBs because he was also overseeing the entire offense. I don't know if that's the case here, but the lack of development in some areas with Calvert seems to point to it.

Buck isn't going develop under Gill, he needs the right coach. Gill couldn't even develop Woodrum and Woodrum was an NFL QB. To us we thought that was a joke when we mention Woodrum and NFL in the same sentence.

Nice drive for the TD there to bring us back within a score.

Does anyone else feel like were just moving in slow motion? There seems to be no sense of urgency or confidence.

Little things like farrow not getting OOB on the sideline.

Wimbo is horrible. Given up over 400 passing yards to NMSU. Auburn will eat us alive, probably throw for 800. Gill will never fire his friends.

We allowed nearly 500 yards and 42 points to one of the worst offenses in college football.

WOW.

We just turned a 3 and out into a 66 yard touchdown run....so I guess we can't claim that this defense hasn't done anything
