After further research Study , not as interesting as I thought. :boring The guy named Marcus White who is an assistant coach at Baptist Prep is not the same guy named Marcus White who played basketball for Liberty back in the 90s.

A kid from Tomball! I don't remember him but I am sure I will see him play his season as my son't team plays Concordia Lutheran in summer ball and multiple times in the regular season. This is the town that has produced Jimmy Butler and Justin Jackson in recent years.

Coach McKay's son Gabriel, who will be a Senior at LCA this year, has announced he will be joining the recruiting class of 2019 as a walk-on.

I don't think he was even a starter as a JR last year, so we're not talking about an impact player, but I think it's pretty cool.

Hoping we will hear soon that there will be another father/son-coach/player combination starting next year. 8)

A few factoids about Kyle Rode. He is from Lexington, KY, but plays AAU ball for Indiana Elite. They are a top 10 program nationally, and he is their leading scorer. His HS team, Lexington Christian Academy (yes, they go by LCA) won a state championship last year. His 2 most recent offers are from Winthrop and W&M. Based on his own tweets and others commenting on him, he looks to be a perfect fit with the school and team culture.

Also, according to this report, he is now 6´7¨ and well over 200, which would enable him to play the PF in Ritchie´s system.

He may or may not be the ¨guru¨ the old ballcoach makes him out to be, but you can´t deny he has ¨access¨. Definately an insider.
