Success should defined at LU as "Big South Championship" in every sport.

Being a small guard in the big south have never had an issue, if you can play.

Other than baseball, has BSC team ever been picked for an at large bid to NCAA tournament in any sport ?

Yes. Liberty and Coastal multiple times in golf, including our bid last year. Stony Brook and Coastal in football, and I believe Coastal got one in Soccer one year when they were ranked and got upset in the conference tourney. I believe there are others but that's all I can think of at the moment.
