Actually, the NCAA doesn't care what type of scholarship the kid's on. If he's on the roster and he's getting money, he counts toward the 63. The rule is intended to keep schools from inventing bogus scholarships and stockpiling talent and I really can't argue with that.

That remains the case. Any player can play immediately if he is eligible (i.e. Vince Redd case) if he goes to a school in a lower classification and he hasn't attended classes at the first school during the semester of transfer. Does that make sense?
