Ballcoach, you don't have to keep asking for a "guru" for information on something...a little research and paying attention to the flow of conversation will do. Byd just said that we will be real excited when we see them, which to me says they are not going to be locatable (sp?) in something from the public record...at least at this juncture. Have a little patience and enjoy the anticipation. When they are released I'm sure it'll get posted here for us to discuss

I don't disagree with that ballcoach. I'm just saying that those folks also have a great deal of respect for those contacts and aren't going to rush it just because somebody on a message board asked for it if it's not a matter of the public record just yet. That's why I also mentioned paying attention to the flow of a conversation as well.

True, people always do not disclose all they know. I talked with the AD last month,(baseball & softball), but I have not disclosed any information he relayed to me. Some stuff is better off left "Classified".

I am very excited about this project and the new Performance Center. They are both important adds to the facility package for LU moving forward to bigger and better things. I also hope that the Natatorium will be the next athletic project!

I imagine the indoor track and the athletic performance center will be a priority then the natatorium. I'd still like to see the new arena for women's basketball and volleyball built at Doc's Diner location soon.

Construction has begun on new LU indoor football practice facility

Construction has begun at Liberty University for a new indoor practice facility for the school’s football team.

Right now, construction crews are working to level the site, which is located at the northeast side of Williams Stadium adjacent to the football operations center. The roughly 90,000-square-foot practice facility will feature a 70-foot ceiling and is set to house a full-size turf field. It’s expected to cost more than $20 million, according to Athletics Director Jeff Barber.

He said he thinks the field will be the largest versatile open space indoors on Liberty’s campus, and he expects it to play host to other Liberty teams and events.

“Our alumni will use it a lot — like if we have homecoming, we can do a luncheon inside the practice facility,” he said. “Graduation could have events in there.”

A new big, shiny building we don't really need that can't pay for itself. At some point, you have to expect that all these "recruiting advantages" are going to pay dividends in the form of championships right??

Sorry... I'm in a pessimistic mood right now. And yes, that was the first thing that stuck out to me was the top left, although if you look closely, the entire background is totally different than what you see today.
