The dude threw his entire team under the bus after losing to Gardner Webb. How does that show he loves his team?

And for the record, I'm by no means anonymous. I have no problem attaching my name to the things I say. It's cowardly to hide behind a screen name if you're going to criticize someone.

If they do somehow manage to make it into the playoffs (which is highly unlikely) the ones talking so much crap about Woodrum and the team will be the first ones to say how they "knew we could do it" or "we always believed." A lot of bandwagon fans on this message board that's for sure. But hey we're all entitled to our own opinions.
The same qb who threw his own team under the bus?

Ha. Three posts saying the exact same thing within 60 seconds of each other.

Nothing fires up the base quite like an arrogant tool of a quarterback.

Note: this post was written knowing full well that I, myself, am also an arrogant tool.

In all seriousness, I would think one of the coaches probably took him aside after Saturday's loss and had a heart to heart conversation with him telling him that he had to man up and be a leader of the team, which meant not putting blame on others and standing up to any criticism about the team and it started today. It's hard for one to believe that Gill had no clue that Josh was going to say what he said during the press conference. It's encouraging though to hear that the team hasn't lost the fight yet, granted were giving other teams great locker room material.

False on all accounts. (insert Vince Vaughn meme here)
1. Most of us do not "anonymously critique" on this board. You can find me. 80% of us I'm guessing would be absolutely willing to tell you who we are. The ones who do hide their identity either work at the school and therefore need to keep their identity private or they come to troll. (there are other reasons as well but those are the big two) Josh can get on here and send me a DM and I'll gladly send him my contact info if he wants to talk to me personally about my opinions. So can anyone else.
2. I won't be one giving josh a pat on the back if we somehow make the playoffs. I'll be thanking God(sorry i played the God card but it fits here) That in spite of our ineptitude the past two weeks we were somehow blessed with the fortune of either a. Teams ahead of us losing games they shouldn't or b. We somehow impressed the playoff committee enough to garner an at-large bid. Both of those have the same likelyhood of happening as a snowballs chance in hades.
3. You're (word redacted) right we are entitled to our opinion just as you have every bit of right to disagree with them. Welcome to sports message boards 101. you passed.

Well judging from his comments I doubt he would want to speak to you or anyone else on this board. Thank you for the passing grade, I was beginning to worry I didn't fit in on this board. For some reason I thought it was a requirement to trash the players, question the coaching staff, and complain as much as possible...

I had to read Tim Tebow's speech again and then compared it to what Josh said. I didn't read where Tebow threw his team under the bus (as Josh did earlier), nor did I read Tebow mention a message board (as Josh did.)

I did read a speech that a player gave and then backed it up. Time will tell with Josh's comments. I will be extremely happy if they win out and make the playoffs. However, will whatever train wreck that has the Flames at 0-2 in Big South play have been solved so that the playoffs is not just another "did that just happen" game?

And for the record, I am Liberty grad and avid supporter of the Flames, but can't wrap my mind around what appears to be a very dysfunctional team at the moment.

Bottom line to me is that NO he can't take it and he is taking the team with him, how many times did he have to say well hey if your talking about ME then I can take it, hey im a 4 yr starter, 3 yr captain blah blah blah. They really are not getting on anyone else as much as they are him the QB, the leader all that. What he is doing is trying to be passive aggressive, and say hey its not ME, look at what everyone else is doing to cause ME to play like this.

yeah that vid is complete passive/aggressive

more failure to take responsibility.

another example of what happens when kids are coddled from HS thru college, and then we wonder why the pro's turn out to be complete a-holes.

entitlement complex BIG TIME

athletes wanna big time everyone and get special dispensation but then how dare you criticize when they don't perform

how bout you just worry about you brother. Try this bs after graduation in the real world and see how far you get. you think dopes like us on a message board are rough?

I will point out that Ryan Greiser never did this crap

You must not have been paying much attention here last season. You also must not hang out much on college sports message boards if you think anything around here is out of line. A team that collapsed as epicly as Liberty did the last two weeks would be roasted alive most places. We're passionate, but we're tame here.

I'm. Pretty sure more than woodruff has been called out. The online has. Lunsford has. Petey has. Gill and coaching staff has. This topic didn't even start til he came out on flames nation. And what he has been called out for has been leadership this season. He's been called out in the past for his awful interceptions.

Ok so now that we all know Josh looks at flames fan then we can tell him how it is. Josh well we all know after you done with your college football career your not going to the NFL. So please just focus on these few games we have left. I will give you some tips don't be scared to block, don't be scared to get hit because it seems like when we are about to score or we have the perfect chance to get a first down or get yards and you have the defense coming for you it seems to me you always try to avoid a sack. So you either A.throw the ball and it gets intercepted or B. you fumble. Don't be scared to get hit. Make sure you try to score everyone yall are on offense because defense can do your job for you. Make sure you are a good leader because it sounds to me your being a little bit to much it's not your team it's everyone's team. Stop thinking about your self.

I have an idea: Why don't we work on our own game of being better Flame Fans- more supportive and less critical. I'm calling out some of our de-facto captains on here - SJ, Shorty (PA) and others. We've come too far, fought too hard and waited too long to now start taking shots at our own brother down on the field, trying to get things right. If we get blown out at home on Saturday, I'll still be wearing LU red on Monday. At some point it stops being about their character and performance and starts being about ours. Go Flames!!
