So many people are butt hurt about that bat flip. I don't understand why. What an awesome moment.

It is a somber mood amongst Rangers fans in Dallas today. I also don't get the hate about the bat flip.

That probabloy has more to do with the sorry state of the Cowboys than the Rangers. The DFW only glances at the Rangers as a side show.

True, the Rangers only get attention when they're good. Its the same with the Stars. Taking the DART back from the State Fair this weekend, one attendee started chanting "Lets Go Rangers," with no response. He then stated "This train is full of Dallas people."

If any opponent flips a bat like that, they're getting drilled at the next opportune moment. Not in game 5 of a 5 game series, but definitely in the next season.

Agree, I was kinda pulling for the Rangers, but that was a monster shot at a very emotional/key moment in the game. Love it.

He threw his bat at the Rangers dugout and stared down their players.

Do you seriously think that the Rangers players will hold onto that for the next 5 months and if /when they play each other in 2016, that he or any other Toronto player gets drilled...so many months after the fact? That's not payback...that's butthurt

Maybe in the direction of the dugout, but he definitely didn't throw it at the dugout.

That was an emotionally charged game. Bautista commented immediately after the game that he did not mean to be disrespectful. I think it crossed the line of an acceptable response, especially the stare down toward the pitcher. It was not a bat flip, it was a bat toss. His interview may help his case, but I think he gets drilled next year.

Domingo Ayala would be proud.

Yes he did. He hit the home run, stared at Dyson and others, and then threw the bat at the Rangers dugout. It wasn't even a bat flip.

Who cares what he says after the game? He did it.

They also asked Bautista about Dyson's comments after the game, too. He basically replied no comment. The Rangers won't forget about this.

They won't forget giving up a home run to lose their shot at the ALCS?? I would hope not.

Any other anger directed at any particular players is just silly.

the best part about it is that it allows us to once again make a mental note of the idiot baseball purists who get their panties all wadded up because of this stuff. that hr is near historic. and the reaction was awesome. who cares who he stared down, or did what to anything. all these relievers pound their chest and do all sorts of bull crap after a inning ending strike out. nobody says crap. I hope for more standing at the plate and more kent murphy batflips.

its just felt good that knowing somewhere, brian mccann was sitting in his living room all ticked off and can't wait to don his baseball police utility belt and write a ticket to bautista.

also, if you pay attention, the people that are overzealously ok with chase utley deliberately sliding into tejada and breaking his leg are not ok with admiriing and batflipping a hr.

I'm ok with both mind you. an outlier if you will.
