Missed our LFSN TV team. Sun Belt announcers were pretty whack in their defensiveness of gsu. In the first series they even misidentified coach gill and Josh. Lame.

Great game by the coaches. Took some stones to make some of those calls. Especially that last FG try.

Yes I agree. Shows how much confidence they have in Lunsford. The announcers seemed surprised we were even going for the fg. If we miss that they have good field position and plenty of time to drive down the field.
A good win but one we should win. Some great pass plays by Josh today and glad to see DJ get some more carries.

I hope you are correct. Because unless we have a WTF game, we will only lose one more game..................... possibly. I think we can give the beachchickens a very good game at home if we play like we did today. We are going to be the toughest game they play all year.
If we have that game you mentioned then that is our one loss which means we get the automatic bid by beating CCU. If CCU is our one loss I don't see how we could not get an at large with a 9-3 record and our difficult of schedule.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Comment of the day re LU win:
@GeorgiaStateFB @SunBelt Georgia state should consider hiring liberty's head coach. More SB wins than Miles.

Followed closely by the comment someone made about this being our Super Bowl. Maybe behind CCU, WV or Montana. Yes they are FBS but the Sun Belt is a FBS developmental league at best.

Can someone please show trey turner how to punt the ball quickly? I swear the kid is running in slo mo back there punting the ball. ST coach needs to light into him some at practice to get him moving a whole lot faster. We were lucky to not have that punt blocked. I still don't know what the heck happened there.

Other than that I thought everything looked pretty good. There were a few play calls on O I didn't agree with... But we executed on offense all game long. That was as good of a complete game that you can get on offense. D did enough to win. The front 7 played as good as you can ask. Our DBs bite hard on double moves though. We need to get that fixed.

The 56yd FG with 2:30 left took some stones. Heck of a call by TG. That's how you play to win.

I noticed that Turner was only back 13 yards instead of the standard 15 for the one that was almost blocked. Anybody else see that?

Notice the 2 coastal posters that do nothing but bash Liberty on the SBC boards. They're too big for their britches. Always talking about how coastal is our super bowl. As if the reverse isn't true. When two teams compete for the conference title every year than yea that would be the "super bowl"

Interesting nugget from in the post game notes:
Evan Nester on FlamesNation.com wrote:The Flames are now 3-0 when wearing the red mesh helmets, white jerseys, and blue pants. Those wins were App State, JMU, and now GSU.

The offense was firing on all cylinders yesterday. That option play to Damien is a great one, even though it's on film in 2 different games now, that's a great ace in the hole to use every 2-3 games. This team is going to be fun to watch over the next few weeks.

Its worth pointing out after a very nice win, that if this would not have been a win, the haters from all over would have poured onto the board and made up some random stats about how "Typical Liberty" always loses those types of games. Here are some of the lame statements we have heard;

"Typical Liberty" always loses games.............

after a big win.
in big situations.
when the bright lights are on.
we are suppose to win.
on the road against good opponent.

and this pathetic list goes on and on from the haters. Those people will claim, they have been around long enough and been burned by so many LU teams to ever have hope again. Well, "Typical Liberty" had their second impressive win of the season so far. Turn the freaking page and realize this isnt your fathers LU program.

I watched the first half on my Roku2 last night, and it really did look like we had more fans than they did.

Did anyone see a stat for official attendance at the game?

I'd say this is typical Gill. Win a home game over a ranked opponent, get blown out by a decent team on the road, come back and win the FBS game. It's happened two years in a row.

If Rocco had the WTF game in a random Big South game, Gill's WTF is a road game after a big home game.

It's not a pathetic list. History showed those to be true. The big factor you are missing is that we actually WON the game this continuing to shift the paradigm.
