You guys are always encouraging him to take vacations from here. For myself I find it entertaining.

Im kinda excited that he signed with the Rams...theyre my favorite team (something that draws quite a few surprised reactions...mostly because I guess they assume everyone is a Cowboys/Eagles/Redskins/Steelers fan or something...)it is the best of both worlds for me right now. That said, I think he will be a welcome addition to the defensive backfield for Coach Fisher.

I recently ran into one of his new teammates, twice, William Hayes. The first time I ask about Jacob, William thought he knew him. A couple of weeks later when I saw him again, he was all smiles, said now he knows who Jacob is. Said he was making plays everyday in what ever type of workout they are doing. Said he thought he had a "great shot" at the 53 man roster. He said it will all come down to specialty team play. He said the Rams are stack on defense, but not at the safety position. He also said that he thought Rams would pay whatever they have to to keep him on THEIR practice squad if they have to go that route.

I will be surprised if Jacob does not end up having a run in the NFL. Combine what he did on the field with those measurables he put up on his pro day, and you just have to believe he is better than some of the safetys currently in the league.

In the comments section at the bottom, one observer singled out Jacob as being the possible exception. Hope so!

What is happening right now in camps is the biggest determining factor in the first round of cuts. OTAs & Rookie Mini-Camps give the first impressions to coaches. But once players are playing alongside the veterans in a true camp setting the work is much more important to decisions.

Incidentally, any of you guys who get over to Redskins practice in Richmond against the Texans will get a JJ Watt autograph if you want one. He stays up to an hour or so after most practices with the public present signing everything. He is wired differently than most athletes in many aspects of his life.

I see that Jacob Hagen didn't have any stats in the first preseason game.

Did anyone see the game? Was he active on special teams?

looks like he also has apparently made the first round of cuts. Continued good showing by LU athletes.
This last game will be HUGE for him.
