One thing that I saw work when I was a player was when we went to the Citadel, they found out our names and they honed in on one guy in particular and called him by his first name all through warmups. They said some obscene stuff to him that they were gonna do (not suggesting we do that part of course) and he was rattled the whole game. He was missing layups in warmups. It really worked. I know you guys have way more creative ideas than that but I like to share old war stories as some of you may be aware

We had some guys at our HS do that and it was effective. It's hard to ignore that stuff before long. See Drafts, Colin. I seriously think we got in his head before the game even started. Of course, having a revealing picture of his girlfriend and SJ's tongue wagging around her didn't help. In fact, I think it threw my game off a little.

Worrying about your girl can throw your game off for sure. The Football team used to like to hit on my girlfriend on a semi-regular basis back in the day and when I would look out to where she was sitting and then see Eric Green or someone in the vicinity? It was a bit distracting to say the least

Dude, that is SOOOO OOld School and soooo great. WHen that was done to me I would find an excuse - loose ball, etc - to head over there and introduce myself. Then run by and call THEM by their first names!!! IT was great fun that kept it from getting too persoanl but had some great "dialoges with some fans!!
