Good to see Hickson sign with LU. I saw him play several times the past 2 years. I think he's gonna be a good one.

The official YouTube playlist for the now completed Class of 2015 is here:

Four Virginians & Four Floridians lead the class with three coming from Texas. It should be noted that this is the first year without a Houston area signing in a long time.

Nice Class, and Great coverage all around. Is it an NCAA violation to contact a verbal commit for an interview prior to him signing his NLOI ?

It's great to see we're getting recruits from good high school football states, i.e. Florida, Texas and Virginia.

Of course it is. Manson and Duke are destined to be put on double secret probation.

Its confirming what weve known for a long time : If you can ball, and the coaches can sell you on "Liberty is the place for you to clean up your act" , Welcome to the team.

Hopefully they have a social media dos and donts freshman orientation, bc we dont care if they are good kids or not, we just need their facebook and twitter to reflect decent character.

I love it that several of these signees also played basketball, and for GOOD teams. I'm talking STATE CHAMPIONSHIP good. Shows they are athletic and competitive. Chris Turner, the 6'3" CB who redshirted this year did as well.

Looked at Coastal's recruits - two 2-star and two 3-star recruits including a QB and DL. It appears what I can tell is we have the better class of recruits.

As long as the reporters are not employed by the school or classified as a major booster, the NCAA recognizes the place of alumni covering their teams and the role it plays in building fan interest. It was much dicier twenty years ago when I first starting covering recruiting back when the web was just becomiing involved in process. Today it is commonplace.

Technology has greatly increased in the recruiting world over the years. I still recall one of first cell phones I saw being used by someone. It was a "street agent" recruiter for Tennessee.

It's quite fine for a site that is not university affiliated to contact athletes. We interview high school kids all the time.

Interesting nuggets from the event in the foc tonight. New video board 3 times the current size. New turf. Cam jones ran a legit 4.4. Staff really believes foutz was a total steal. They recognize they needed a ton of help in the return game. That was mentioned 4 or 5 times by gill and skalasaki. King matthews and daniels will all likely factor in as they can "make people miss". Skalasakis rehire is paying dividends in recruiting and presemtation. Will brown looks like he can be a monster once bill gets a hold of him. He looks like a quicker leaner jaron and he will play inside. They think peters will play right away and cam jones will contribute on special teams early. I get the sense daniels and king could be the return man and one will man the slot. There is a scholly open for a potential transfer should the situation arise after spring. Rion davis looks like a physical in the box safety. They used 16 official visits and 14 signed. The other 2 were obviously dalton and clements. frazier will play d end and i get the sense we were on the peripheral with him then once kitchart went another way we moved. Mckinney looks like he could play this year too especially witn no other lbs in the class. Wells played lb almost exclusively so that will ne interesting to watch. Those are just some interesting observations from tonight.

Looks like a very legit class! It looks like this staff is on the verge of reloading every year instead of rebuilding. You have to love that. Any time lines on the video board and field turf?

This looks like a really epic signing day!! In the past I heard mention that Gill has a few sneaky last minute grabs. Did we get any last minute unknowns ??

Maybe the basketball team should borrow a couple of coaches from football staff to assist in basketball recruiting .

I was thinking that it looks like Gill and staff recruit basketball players better than Layer and staff ;)

I'm really hoping that Medic can use his artistic skills to draw one this size (x3) on top of the FOC so we can get a visual of exactly how big that will be.

Actually it isn't unheard of for an athlete to play more than one sport, even at the D-I level...
