And then the SEC will be three teams in every year. Just you watch...

Take the 5 P5 champs (oh yeah, Iin case of a two team tie...first tiebreaker is head to head, then common oopponents, then CFP ranking) and the highest ranked G5 champ plus 2 at large.

For the sake of having a "champion", whoever wins the tiebreaker (hopefully it won't come down to CFP ranking), that team is the champion for sake of the placement in the playoff. I'm sure with some research one could come up with quite a few layers of tiebreakers to determine the champion and automatic qualifier for the CFP

It's amazing how gung-ho ESPN was on the 2 SEC teams in the top 4 all year long until it just wasn't feasible.

The end of the Houston-Pittsburgh game was amazing. I don't know if I've seen 22 points scored in 3:41 with consecutive successful onside kicks and a 2-point conversion for the win with less than a minute left.

Interim head coach trying to make a splash. With that much momentum going your way, why not do it at that point, especially in a lower level bowl game.

Quite a move, even though the permanent coach is currently preoccupied with another game.

Or maybe this: We have replaced tOSU's Urban Meyer with Andy Reid. Let's see if anyone notices.

I seriously underestimated how down the SEC is right now.
I was starting to wonder if Turner Gill had taught TOSU's coaching staff his own personal clock management strategy on that one. That's the only head-scratcher I can think of from that game, though. Guess the Buck's third-string QB is pretty good after all?

FSU never looked like a top 4 team all year, they only got in the playoff because they were the champion last year and for entirely illogical reasons, that automatically made them "better" this year.

Ohio State at QB is like Kentucky basketball at center. Stud after stud after stud.

So? Just because you haven't lost yet doesn't make you top 4 as they proved against Oregon.

Fair enough but you are taking a lot of credit away from Oregon who clearly are the best team in the country. They will have zero trouble beating Ohio state.

I wouldn't go engraving Oregon's name on the trophy just yet. Ohio State is playing really well right now, and I think they can give Oregon a good game.

Ohio state will give them a better game than florida state but Oregon is playing at a different level right now.

I already have. I don't go around guaranteeing much but I believe this as close to a guarantee as one can find in sports. Oregon is impressive. Us east coasters just haven't paid attention to them.

The playoff allowed Oregon to get their random loss out of the way without the BCS forcing the SEC down our throats. Oregon actually getting a chance to play for the title will likely end up with them winning it unless tOSU is way better than expected.

Quality PAC-12 and Mountain West schools/players are almost always underrated. The main exception is USC in 2005.
