If only we had some intrepid print and/or online reporters to ask the question: How did JMU beat us out for a home game? Obviously the AD thought we had a home game

But let me wax poetic.... This is yet another microcosm of what is wrong with the LU mentality. Instead of being thrilled to be in, people are whining about who we are playing. Instead of earning a home game, we feel we are entitled to a home game because......we have money and we are Liberty. We see a conspiracy when really we were treated like any new team to the playoffs.
We won. We are in the playoffs. We get to play a team that will be fun and competitive. In short ENJOY! And I can't believe the Potentate of the Dark Side is the one who has to bring it up

I am just happy to be in the playoffs. If we get beat 50-0, I could care less. We are doing something that we have never done before. It is not often that a first year playoff team makes a big splash. We are gaining experience that will bode well for our future. That is the main thing. Yes, LU has been screwed more than once because of who we are. However, we need to try and let that go. At the minimum, we shouldn't be looking around every rock for an "I hate LU" boogey man. Just my .02

JMU's AD is reported saying, "I was working against Jerry Falwell, and that’s tough man." Their entire goal was to outbid Liberty.

The Dukes were outbid for a home game in 2011. This time around, JMU had to compete with Liberty, the largest private, nonprofit university in the nation with its pockets lined by Jerry Falwell.

"I was working against Jerry Falwell, and that's tough man," JMU athletic director Jeff Bourne said.

Bourne declined to immediately reveal the amount of JMU's bid.

Be a man and make the drive. No more excuses.

I hate JMU

Enough said.

See you all next Saturday.

Why not? I was able to justify a 6 hour drive back home after this game... I would have loved to try a 3.5, that'd be cake compared to mine. It's the biggest game in our history to this point. I'm driving 6 hours after the game. LET'S GOOOOOOO

This is one of the dumbest things you've ever said.

We are traveling to NC to see our families for the first time in months. We don't get to come home for Christmas. A simple 2-2.5 hour drive up 29 and back to go back to my alma mater for a playoff game is one thing. A 3.5-4 hour drive over the mountains (with a 4PM start to boot) only to drive 5+ hours back to Knoxville is a little less justifiable.

If I lived in NC and we saw our family more than twice a year, going to Harrisonburg is a done deal.

Couldn't tell if my sarcasm meter was off. I went to JMU's ticket site and they have two options: Public for $20 and GA/Student for $12. I am going to try to figure out the difference. Am I an idiot if I do not go? (prepares for stuff being thrown)

For those that didn't get my comment to Jon about no excuses, I was giving him a hard time because I have known him for a while. I understand not many people will be able to make the trip and that is understandable due to everyone's differing situations.

I hope as many of us can make it as possible.

Good thing I've been budgeting for this since 2007.
Philly airport is HORRIBLE. If you are going to 'Nova I'd recommend the train. Plus, last minute tix don't cost an arm and a leg
Are we back?

We back!
