Yeah it's time for Beamer to go, they aren't winning the ACC Coastal Division anytime soon the way they've been playing for him the past few years. Losing to ECU, GT, Pitt and Miami definitely doesn't look good for them this year. That win against Ohio St, when the season is over, will probably be looked at as the biggest fluke of the year.

My only question is whether or not your former employer has the nerve to recognize the Miles era is a disaster. Their expectations are so low that I don't see him being canned anytime soon.
Miles has a hefty buyout so he'll be there for awhile. The new AD might have the stones to wash his hands of the dumpster fire that is GSU football. and start over. But time will tell. Personally I think miles has been close for the past two years and is recruiting better than any coach in their short history. Its just not coming together yet.

If there is one program that GSU can learn from, hard to believe, but its our opponent on Saturday. patience must be a virtue if they are going to improve attendance and not be an also ran in their own city, much less their own state

Beamer has got to be rethinking things. It's been several years since the QB position was any good and the D was great. Losing 6-3 in double OT to Wake this year is awful. He built a program in a place where it shouldn't have worked, but it's starting to turn on him. I think London at UVA, and ODU going FBS are eating into his recruiting the 757 kids that he used to have carte blanche on.

I'd keep a look out for Harbaugh going to Michigan. He doesn't stay anywhere very long, but Michigan could be the one place where he tries to make things last more than 3-4 years. He's done 3 years at San Diego, 4 at Stanford, and now 4 in San Francisco. He's 50, so if he can figure out how to dial his style back a bit, he could put in a good decade at UM and then retire/move on again.

Beamer has got to go. I ended up rooting for WF today. I will root for UVA next week. I don't want Beamer fired, but he needs to take the hint.

I think Harbaugh would be a good choice at UM. I hope that works out.

Oh, and don't be too sure about Norm Chow being out at Hawaii next year. There's no real booster money, the school is having massive financial struggles, and there's a mentality here that you can only hire someone with local ties which limits the potential candidate pool significantly.

If he does go, the top names being mentioned are Rich Miano and Nick Rolovich. The darkhorse candidate is a return of June Jones who is living on the Big Island right now.

Harbaugh isn't going to Michigan. UM isn't an elite job anymore. He won't be at SF after this season, but he won't be in college either.

Chip Kelly will get offered by UF. I doubt he takes it but they are at least going to offer him.

Michigan is still an elite job, there just hasn't been an elite coach in ages. Harbaugh would be just that. UM and OSU are still much higher profile jobs than anything else in the B1G. Michigan is still above a place like MSU for prospects, they just need a real coach.

I don't know if Harbaugh goes there, but I bet they break the bank to try and get him. He does seem like the kind of guy who would like to have his resume say he revitalized Stanford, the 49ers, and UM.

It's not even a top 10 job anymore. Michigan has a bunch of idiots upstairs that are still trying to run a program as if it's the 90's.

And they had a great head coach, Rich Rodriguez. He's been wildly successful everywhere he's been, and was even starting to make some progress at Michigan but then they ran him out of town.

Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Uk, Notre Dame and Louisville have all out recruited Michigan for the past 5 years.

Florida may be down but if they hire the right guy, they'll be competitive next year. Sark is going to have USC competitive next year. Even if Michigan hired Bill Belichick as their HC, Chip Kelly as their OC and Nick Saban as their DC, they would be 3 years away from having any shot at the top 3 in the Big 10. That is not an elite program.

Any chance that Doc Holliday follows Billy the Kid to Florida? It worked once, so why not twice?

If he wants the WVU job when Dana implodes it's his best option! :D

They see TCU and Baylor doing well and think that they can do the same. Whether they can or not is a different story....

The biggest shock so far is that Mike London is keeping his job at UVA. After watching just the last 20 seconds of that game against Tech I wonder why we EVER complained about our play calling. Running play action on 4th and 5 when your whole season is on the line? I don't think Gill has ever called a play that dumb (some of those 2pt conversion attempts were close)

They did just have a 4 year bowl streak from 09-12 before June Jones had his mental breakdown and just walked out on them.

And we all know that SMU has no problem paying people. :jail

Briles and Patterson both basically made seismic culture and philosophy shifts in their locations and theey have paid significant dividends. Chad Morris is probably going to need to make one of those down there for them to begin to become relevant again
