We're also missing our best two linebackers. Was the man to man a good scheme that our DBs couldn't execute or was it a bad scheme? Would we have been slowly picked apart with the soft zone had we done that?
mixture of blown assignments and the blown 1/1 coverage's.

So you're in the boat that it's talent, not scheme.

I would suggest a bit of both with the talent issues being a lack of experience in most cases. Holloway is going to be really strong for years to come. He is just learning his way around these more complex college routes.

Do you feel so inferior that you need to hear positive reinforcement from a bunch of random dudes? WE AREN'T IN THE SUN BELT! Please for the love of God get over it.

I've never had a definitive opinion on the defense. The special teams are horrible. I'd also heavily questioned the offense but Stamn called a heck of a game today.

Nice win for the guys after last weeks heartbreak loss. Don't get me wrong I am very for the team but it could have gone either way. Kind of hard to call this a "epic" win yet with Appy being 1-5. Good to have some confidence going into a bye week for sure. Need to get rested up and some of our LBs back.
We gave up way too many big plays on D. The muffed punt for a TD was another in a terrible plays by our special teams.

Offense gets an A for tonight...defense gets a D+, Special teams a D- (Lunsford being the only thing keeping it from being an F)

there is nothing complex about being being beat on a post corner route in 1 on 1 or blowing a zone coverage based on what they play, some of its just laziness, and pretty soon it wont matter when/if your teammates lose confidence and TRUST in you being on field with them. And if im a coach I would listen to my other 10 players on the field.

But seriously, great win after such a gut wrenching, emotional loss last week. What a great defensive play to win this one, wow! Hopefully some Sun Belt presidents/administration will pay attention to us a little more after this!
A rebound like this instead of a roll-over is a sign of great heart and character.
Congratulations Coach Gill and Flames!!!
