I thought it was interesting that Brevard didnt have their starting QB against us last year. He obviously adds a bit to their offense as evidenced by what they were able to do last week. We should win, but I dont expect us to cover the spread.

Also Gill made a very strong statement about the Run Run Pass thing a few of you were complaing about last week, He said its our goal to get 4 yards on first down through a Run. If this is what he believes in, and against a smaller and less talented team he feels is the recipe for a Win, Id say lets stick to it.

I thought everyone knew that injuries were undisclosed this year, Jamie (I think it was him) had to learn the hard way. Very awkward in the press conference when he asked about Scott's injury.

Gill said the coaching staff was really happy about the Secondary, said they have really performed better than was anticipated.

Apparently that changed last year (as far as injury reporting goes). Partly led to closing of practices I think was mentioned on the blog

Slick info graphic, Chris.

I think it is obvious how positive I am about the change in recruiting philosophies. I remember one of Rocco's top assistants telling me that Lu didn't really bother recruiting kids in Texas who expressed strong interest in the Flames because they would probably shift allegiances late in the game if a better offer came long. Uh, isn't that the case for kids even in Lynchburg?

I think this would be a bad thing!! It seems in the past when that's happened we think we're awesome and slowly suck worse and worse after...

Based on the information presented above, I think it is safe to say that following a week where LU scores 50 or more, we may or may not score a lot of points, depending on who our opponent is that week.

I didnt get to add my comments but that is pretty much it 01. what I would really like to analyze is the general season trend based on the timing of those results (ie whether we really did get progressively worse as each season progressed).

Really it depends on the opponent. as I said above, I'd like to do a more detailed analysis of season trends to see if we really get worse as the seasons progressed from the point when we had those various two game swings, or if they merely were statistical anomalies based in part on varying mitigating factors (talent level, opponents, timing, relative potential mindset, etc.)

Yeah, it really does depend on the opponent. If we don't have one we will no doubt have no chance to win or lose. But, and I think the stats bear me out so I'm not going to post them, if we actually have an opponent we have a great opportunity to win, if we don't lose.

Eww...I'm not a fan of the white helmets, but I would be even less a fan of the all red...if we were gonna go with the red helmets, go with the blue tops
