I didn't watch this one, but I'm definitely glad we took the series. I wasn't the mood for blood pressure problems today. Now let's add a teal broom to that pole in left field tomorrow.
Our D hurt us early. A ball landed in the infield between 4 Flames. Also a runner scored on a pop up to shallow center but Grauer came through with a big hit. Perritt sat out tonight.
That is interesting Jon...you would think that a series against the current top team in the league and perennial chanticleer whipping boy (until last year's conference tournament) would garner at least SOME chatter
Not that I could tell. they had a guy or two go down earlier in the year including their weekend #1 I believe (probably would have been a decent draft pick too)
Edit: someone posted Remillard (one of their top position guys I think) may have jacked his elbow in the series.
It was the 3rd baseman. In Saturday's game, he made a throw to first and was removed from the game before the next pitch. I only watched the last few innings, so it must have been the bottom of the 7th or 8th. They showed the trainer testing his arm in the dugout. It did not look promising.
These guys just keep finding ways to win. Hopefully we can get a few guys hot this week and find a quality 4th starter whether it's Parks or Lyons that steps up. Keranen may be part of the solution out at 3b.
