Georgia Southern AD was scheaduled to be at a Coaches Caravan Tour stop last night. We have one poster on our site that was at that meeting last night, still waiting on his report from that meeting. If in fact the AD was at this meeting there is now way he could have been in Santa Monica.

Hmm, well I guess its safe to assume we will in fact not know anything until late May. I keep hoping to hear something sooner. Thanks for the info Valley, let us know if you find out he is in CA.
AD was in GA last night.

I like to see my Minions branching out. But nothing is official until I speak it. Unless it's on Twitter

Having said that, there were one or two other directions I would have gone with that

If that were the case we wouldn't have made it to pg. 166... that's for sure. I for one am thankful for the process. Hopefully it lights a fire under our Athletics department to take their jobs even more seriously and ensure that they maximize the talent they have so we can garner more respect.

The way the Sun Belt has built our hopes up and burnt them to the ground a few months later, the Mardi Gras thing almost seems more likely.

Aren't all decisions concerning our future, based on the views expressed on Flame Fans?

This thread is 167 pages of wild and ridiculous speculation, unnecessary panic, people who are way to optimistic, people who are way to pessimistic and Jesus jukes. If the Sun Belt presidents ARE using this thread in the decision making process, no wonder we didn't get the invite.

Even if that New Orleans meeting isn't pertaining to athletics, I do wonder if it was cancelled due to this potential storm system moving in. I heard someone say that TX - east could experience the biggest tornado outbreak since 2011.

QFT. They read. They read alot. :)
Which I've always found ironic. On one hand they send out memo's saying DON'T read it. Then they read it. And bring it up, while claiming they haven't read it.

I'm new here, but I've been gathering information about all this for quite a while now, lurking both here and on CSNbbs. I find it amusing that some people around the 'Net actually cite Liberty's relatively lukewarm football performance as the primary reason to not invite us to the Sun Belt, a conference that deemed Georgia State worthy of FBS. Don't get me wrong, nothing against Georgia State at all; several people have said they will vote to invite us, plus they have us scheduled for 2015 regardless, so I'm practically a Panthers fan at this point. Georgia State deserves their chance, and so does Liberty. I just think it's telling that they'll give Georgia State the benefit of the doubt with a brand-new program, but then say Liberty needs to "prove itself" at the FCS level.

Anyway, that's my two cents on that. I hope Pres. Falwell's "almost-flight" to New Orleans is a sign of good news to come.
