Georgia Southern AD was scheaduled to be at a Coaches Caravan Tour stop last night. We have one poster on our site that was at that meeting last night, still waiting on his report from that meeting. If in fact the AD was at this meeting there is now way he could have been in Santa Monica.

If that were the case we wouldn't have made it to pg. 166... that's for sure. I for one am thankful for the process. Hopefully it lights a fire under our Athletics department to take their jobs even more seriously and ensure that they maximize the talent they have so we can garner more respect.

I'm new here, but I've been gathering information about all this for quite a while now, lurking both here and on CSNbbs. I find it amusing that some people around the 'Net actually cite Liberty's relatively lukewarm football performance as the primary reason to not invite us to the Sun Belt, a conference that deemed Georgia State worthy of FBS. Don't get me wrong, nothing against Georgia State at all; several people have said they will vote to invite us, plus they have us scheduled for 2015 regardless, so I'm practically a Panthers fan at this point. Georgia State deserves their chance, and so does Liberty. I just think it's telling that they'll give Georgia State the benefit of the doubt with a brand-new program, but then say Liberty needs to "prove itself" at the FCS level.

Anyway, that's my two cents on that. I hope Pres. Falwell's "almost-flight" to New Orleans is a sign of good news to come.
