I disagree. Virginia is far-and-away a better program than the Hokies, and this is coming from someone who roots for Virginia Tech.

I also think the situations are incredibly different. Tony Bennett seems like he's going to make a destination out of Virginia. I don't think you're going to see him move unless one of the high-blue blood positions open up (Kentucky and Kansas being the only two to come to mind. Can't see him leaping to another ACC team). I can't see Buzz lasting at Virginia Tech for more than 3-4 seasons at most.

They just tweeted the dale layer camp schedule yesterday. Hes not leaving. I actually think it would really hurt us if he left right now. I dont think hes the long term answer but i dont thinkin losing 25 to 30 games next year would help much either because thats what will happen if he leaves and we have to bring in an entirely new team and rerecruit his recruits. I just think at this point both sides have to try another year and see what happens.

Agreed, he's not leaving at this point. Looking forward to seeing the new recruits out there. I know every class gets hyped but this one feels different. We'll find out soon enough. Hope it works out.

Doubt Bennett would get the support from the fan base he would want to go to Kentucky. UK fans would HATE that move given the "boring" style he employs.

I wish we had the VMI Coach. He is a good recruiter and plays an exciting style of basketball. He can recruit guys who can put ball in the basket, not draining the shot clock.
