SuperJon wrote:Shockingly enough yes Jon. Because I didn't play a lot of sports (other than swimming and a brief foray into basketball) growing up, Ive been learning everything I can about every sport, and devouring every bit of information from high school onto the present day with the idea of getting into coaching.BJWilliams wrote:Ive been a student of sports for a lot longer than you guys might know.Is it longer than you were an undergrad student?
BJWilliams wrote:I do not (at least in basketball) which is why I am putting a lot on my knowledge and ability to transmit basketball information to players.I appreciate your desire, but unfortunately, you will not qualify for my staff. Get some real world coaching experience and maybe you'll get another shot down the road.

Central Virginia Homeschool closed their athletic doors a few years go.
And the prince of Nigeria doesn't want you to manage his bank account either.

I've been wanting to go back to Lynchburg and maybe head basketball coach is in my future. My 7th grade rec league team is undefeated and playing for the championship this weekend. Have there been any HMO sightings? I need someone to work on my resume. I'm looking for additional staff members also. You must have coaching experience at a level higher than Upwards. "Coaching Basketball" class at Liberty does not count as coaching experience. Don't PM me if you are interested in being a part of my staff. If you think you are good enough, put it on the line and post it here. If you are an offensive or defensive specialist, please include a synopsis of your base offense/defense with a diagram. If you do not have a diagram available, PAMedic can probably help you out. He's good with graphics. My defensive philosophy is sort of cutting edge. I like to play a style that keeps my opponent from scoring more points than me. I will say every time I've done that my team has won.
Offensively I'm pretty conservative. I just try to score more points then the team we play. Nothing fancy but pretty effective. I have an amazing record 567-3 when both my offensive and defensive game plans work.
I hate you Merry Christmas :D  May[…]
