Kudos to Lombardi and the Browns for getting something for Richardson. You simply do not take a RB early unless you think he'll be an AP level once in a generation RB these days. It's a different game and GMs need to understand that.

Enormously deep draft expected with several options to fix their stupid Wheedon pick at QB. You simply don't take a RB #3 overall in the modern game unless you're sure he's got AP level ability. Richardson looked good behind a college line that made Mark Ingram a Heismann winner. Richardson is a good RB and nothing more. Cleveland has a very good OL (they made Peyton Hillis look legit for a year) and desperately needs a QB with a pulse.

They get a real shot at either Bridgewater or Boyd for next year and get what will likely be 2 more picks in the top 40 to go after a WR/TE and whatever else they feel they need. Even if they don't get either top tier QB, they're undoubtedly going to be in place for a defensive stud like Clowney or Barr and can snag a good QB prospect like McCarron, Fales, Morris, Carr, or Murray. Throw in two 3rd round picks and they're stocking up for a very deep draft while getting rid of all of Holmgren's horrible picks as GM.

you can reasonably expect to find rb talent relatively inexpensively. cleveland's line last year was sub par performance wise. teamed with a bad passing game, and a rookie rb with rib problems, i think we can't really make a judgement on whether richardson is a stud or not. however, he costs alot of money. if you are looking to free up dollars for other positions, this move kind of makes sense. if you can get ben tate next year or some other backup looking to prove himself (which happens often) it makes sense. looking for a qb and either lewan or clowney next year is a worthy goal.

This Redskin v Raiders game is crazy. There is no sense of urgency on either team. Every other play a player is being helped off the field. And Rashad Jennings could be the fantasy sleeper of the week.
