Baptist side took nearly a year til it was ready for game day, and still had the finishing touches to be completed when it did open.

thats including the suites tho... bleacher seating in an upper deck is quicker.

IIRC, JB said the plans were pretty much done and we're waiting for conf movement before breaking ground.

There will be suites aplenty in the next expansion. And it will likely take the entire offseason to complete the task from what I hear.

It had actually been talked about it about a little over a year ago... that softball would stay put or move somewhere other than Worthington in order to put the indoor facility where Worthington is now.

If we are waiting until we receive an FBS invite, we probably don't need to savor the view of the student side. It's staying that way for a while. However, the plan has changed several times with phase 2, so the schedule can change again.

I don't know why we need to wait, it seems every year the freshman class gets bigger and bigger, it wouldn't hurt to add the upper deck to their side

Look at Akron. 30k brand new stadium (2009)...and they only had 9k avg attendance last year.....

We draw a lot more than that though, and with enrollment growing, it'll only get larger on that side.
