Good showing, especially by the defense. This game played out how I expected and in no way should make us feel bad for the future for this team. To me, this team looks better then we did last year. That is encouraging.

I really like Richardson, obviously. He's fast. They pitch it like 5 yards back to him and he gets a full head of steam before busting through the line. And Dez is a quality blocker in 3rd down situations. Good combination.

Where is Haize when you need him? No comment?

Yeah, this. Offense looked flat -- thankful we have a couple fairly easy games before Richmond to work that out.

I think Stamm was trying to figure out his RB situation. Rice didn't seem to run with much confidence coming out of the back field, not that you can blame him due to the O line. Woodrum didn't commit any mistakes. No one was injured (maybe Sigmon?). Kept the game close. I think that's way better than we could have asked for, minus a W obviously. I do think that Richardson with move ahead Rice and maybe even Allen, once he comes back.

Richardson sounded fast on the radio...look forward to catching a game this season.

Peterson sounded like he's getting solid. Wasn't a great result but I heard some good things.

What is good is that, at least from the way it sounded and looking at the play by play is that this game was lost by Liberty and not won by Kent. I know it's semantics but I think tightening up some of the mistakes that were made should make for a much tighter ship.

Des doesn't quite have what it takes to be a factor back (as they call it on ESPN). I think it'll be Richardson moving to #1 as well...sad to see with him waiting behind AA and SCH the last couple years

I'm optimistic after the game. Clifton should be #1. Young receivers look decent and I expect them to improve each game. Defense is pretty good. Kicking is great. ESPN3 commentators were horrible. Woodrum played smart and didnt make mistakes. O-line improved as the game went but still need a ton of work. Who's going to have the best tailgate next week?

I was very impressed with the D. I know Dri Archer got hurt, but he did get some touches and we played him very well. One guy in particular on D that I was impressed with was our SS Aaron Dial. He made some great plays coming up and playing in the box. That one where he took down their 250 lb FB Durham while he was being blocked was very nice.

I think the Offensive line needs some work. They played much better in the 2nd half, but they were not quite consistent enough to give us a strong running attack. I like most others think Richardson should see some more touches. He's fast, patient and knows when to turn it up field to get the yardage he can get. WR's should be good, though I wish we would have found Apon a little more. The pass to Peterson was nice and the TD to Gabe showed great control/timing. Looking forward to the future...
