Good point it's completely possible to challenge the NCAA get a bylaw changed and go in as an independent. Lets hang are hat on that. We aren't hated enough as it is. Lets get completely blackballed

If you're resulting to that, it probably means you've lost the argument.

If you claim intellectual high ground while typing 'are' in place of 'our'...I'd say you'd lost the argument. That's not a typo problem, that's an education problem.

If we go undefeated beating up on lower tier FBS schools it won't lead to a bowl invite, which is the main reason to go to FBS in the first place. You are also then paying more opponents to come play at your place and if you don't have Bowl and TV money to compensate it becomes an unsustainable model really quickly

I agree, though the admin has made our sports programs sustainable, even when in reality, they aren't!
How much is a ticket for football? I know people who get them free all the time from their church. We are better than how things were ten years ago, but we have a long way to go before we can really talk about our programs bringing in money from spectators, whether that be at a bowl or at the turnstile. Your are right about Bowls- we would never go to one as an independent, but I wouldn't put it past LU to establish their own "Bowl" game... I've thought the same about the ATC at the airport, as well - hey a new ATC school!

Like 90% of athletic departments we bleed money. The point is that by going that route we increase expenses exponentially between FBS football costs, Title IX costs, guarantee game costs etc without much if any additional revenues.
Now BUYING our way into a Conference isn't a bad idea but someone would have to want to be bought.

All of this will be a moot point shortly.

How do you know it's not a typo? Do you know the intent of the person typing? Have they consistently typed ARE when in fact they should have typed OUR, thus proving their inability to distinguish the difference? If they have then your point is valid and proper. If not.......here's your sign.....

So, we've arrived at the point of having Liberty force itself into FBS. This is awesome.

No, what we would be doing is forcing the NCAA to enforce its own rules equally. Look, if we weren't already averaging over 15,000 per game, this rule would be used against our ability to move up. But evidently some rules don't apply equally to all schools.

Evem if we don't move up, I'd still like the schools invited to be adhering to the same rules. (attendance, Title ix, scholarships, etc.)
