I like the move to the LU. I like the red eagle. The LU with the eagle is horrible. I would love to see us get some uni's like Oregon. I would pass on the Maryland look. Yuck. IMVVVVVHO

Everybody now: "U-G-L-Y You ain't got no alibi..."

Also, I agree with everything Superjon said. It feels 80's and 90's CCM. Trying to be trendy but not quite as good as the real thing and therefore coming off as lame and a few years behind the times. This logo already looks dated and desperate. I predict another logo change within a few years. Nobody get a tattoo.

Not crazy about it  .... but it's interesting :I chortle audibly.:
That might be pretty epic as a one time uniform for Military Appreciation Day, then auction the jerseys off for Wounded Warrior Project or something

In house by our design department. Those guys are great and could've come up with something much better than this.

I asked the chancellor about it (Im hoping he can come here and weigh in in greater detail) and he said that they consulted with a few outside firms before they went into the final design. I dont know what all was said in those meetings but the way he said it, this wasnt just some design that was thrown together (as you yourself said Jon, they are great people in that area)

So does this sound like there was no focus group testing? Where is Frank Luntz :D ?

I completely understand wanting to have a logo that would fit better on TV, but the main multi-colored one seems too busy. It may fit better, but can it really be seen better. The reason VT's logo and UVA's logos work good on TV are because they are just simple and not too busy.

I agree also that Liberty has a great graphics team as evidenced by the awards they win.

does this also man they are gonna try n market the "brand" anywhere else outside of Lycnchburg? It would be nice to try in see apparel in some mainstream markets. Especially a few hats.

I agree. It's time they fixed whatever is keeping that from happening.

You're right. Some of the smaller details could be a bit refined, but at least it's recognizable. Much better than the old logo, on TV at least.
