Toman pulls Roy after pitching 5 innings of one hit ball. Marsh makes him look like a genius by retiring the side in order in the 6th.

pitchers are only going to throw 75-80 pitches the first weekend, bump that up to about 90 next week then on to normal. Finally capitalized on those errors this inning.

ok fellas, shouldnt be any real big excuses this year. This team appears to definitely have top 25 talent - especially in the lineup, which now has out hit South Carolina on game 1 and game 2 - not just midweek games where you are facing #4 or 5 starter for each team. The line up has some really strong power, speed from multiple guys, and quality patient veteran hitters throughout than can help protect the couple of younger guys that are mixed in. The rotation is still not incredibly strong with no doubt starters, but is solid. The bullpen is pretty full of strong powerful arms, good depth, lefties, and different looks. Defensively we are not tremendous, but very solid - with some really bright spots. You will be hard pressed to find a better defensive catcher than Wimmer, and Cordell is going to be able to run down a TON of balls b/c that kid has some tremendous wheels and can glide!

The best part of having a very talented team.....we have a good schedule that will be able to showcase it - as shown by this weekend! From what I have seen so far, I dont think there is any reason to really be playing the "underdog" card much, these guys should have some serious swagger.

just as i feared, graeur is not ready to be the closer. Richardson should have gotten the ball, hope he can work out of this mess. We've got to stop leaving guys in there too long. same in the 8th with Marsh, kid gave 2 good innings why stretch him.

Thats all on Toman, leaving in pitchers too long once again. So fed up with them doing that, absolutely inexcusable to continue to leave guys in that long when they can't throw a strike. He can recruit but his game management skills are still awful at best.

I have a group message through baseball season with some Liberty guys.

At 3:26, I sent this message, "Just was able to look at tweets. Six run inning. Wow. Even Toman can't screw up 7-0."

I got the next message 21 minutes later. It read, "Yes he can."

I was wrong.
