Mrs. RD? You are funny though. If he was so great, why doesn't he have a job? If you know why, then you wouldn't be making such silly statements. Need to let it go, it is over. :)

Reality: I am not Mrs. RD.
Reality: Never once while RD was coaching was I embarrassed by the program.
Reality: If RD was coaching we would not be wasting our resources.
Reality: no matter what I wish him and LU the best.

Well the new RPI has LU at 343 out of 347. But there is hope.....Presby is sitting at 345. So it would be an upset if they beat us......Leave it to the Big South to have 2 of the 5 worst teams in the country !

I honestly have never heard of a program in the entire country in any sport where a coach and/or his friends/supporters constantly brought him up six years after he was fired.

... especially one that has aspirations of moving forward.. One of the problems is spending too much time/energy looking at the past.. I don't have a (bull)dog in this fight but it really is pointless how so many current struggles are blamed on the past by some on this board..

I agree. Even IU fans let Bobby Knight go after a year or two.
Even in the darkest days of the Kelvin Sampson debacle were people clamoring to bring him back, and if they were it wasn't serious. Bob Knight was more beloved to the fans in the State of Indiana then every coach combined in Flames Nation history. If they can move on, you would think we could too.

We have moved on alright. Look at where we are. Looking back some of you were cautiously optimistic that we were a course to higher ground while others staunchly boasted about the great strides of this direction. Yet the program has been dismantled. Some act like it is no big deal. Bringing Bill Snyder back to Kansas State was a great move. Critics however never celebrate accomplishments.

Seriously? Bill Snyder retired and had the stadium named after him before he decided to come back to Kansas State. Slightly different situation with RD, no?

As I said...come to the present where all the normal people are expressing their frustrations, not acting like Uncle Rico and thinking that if this had happened differently or that had been handled differently, things would be better or what have you...all staying in the past does is make you appear bitter and delusional

I was embarrassed to be on his team..guy was a complete joke. I am generally a pretty happy person, :pbjtime glass half full etc etc...and im not one to say this type of stuff but i actually hated the guy when i played for him and it had nothing to do with my lack of playing time...however i have moved on from 2003-2005 and am free from the hate...cmon give it a try

I am not bitter nor am I delusional walking out a 9000 seat Vines Center with 300-400 in attendance. You should check your own perceptive instinct before labeling mine. Maybe two more trips to the NCAA tournament and RD would have had things named. He certainly proved
He could get us there.

At what cost did he get us there..while he was here the team was filled with players who were not high character guys and did not embrace the Christian philosophies of LU

Your entitled to your opinion but i have heard numerous others who say huge praises that played for him. One former player who is doing some real good things in town credited RD with getting his life on track. Where I sit that is no joke.
